On a spur of the moment, I decided to go to Coney Island for several reasons. The main reason was to see if I can get into Seagate to see the lighthouse at Coney Island.
As if Coney Island has not seen enough love from me this summer, here I go again hopping on the Q train! Last weekend was the twenty fifth annual Coney Island sand sculpting festival, and it also was my first year attending the festival.
Last Friday was not just an ordinary fireworks night at Coney Island. Oh no, we did it better! We had Chinese lanterns to light up the sky over Coney Island. Or so we thought! We eventually got it!
It was a much better and more clear night at Coney Island this past Friday night. There was not a cloud in the sky, and the moon was bright for the Coney Island fireworks that are held every Friday night, as well as a few select Saturdays throughout the summer.
I had the intentions to see a sunset at Coney Island, but Mother Nature did not agree. The sky over the ocean at Coney Island was an interesting site though.
